can anyone please advise the easiest way to send and recieve a large file 220 m/bs ?

I assume you don't have any webspace you could use? If not, you could use a service like Megaupload, or even a torrent.

I used to use this years ago but not sure what its like now a days http://www.yousendit.com/

Also could try something like dropbox which I think you can then share larger files with other users http://www.getdropbox.com/

no I dont have a web page and its a friends holiday video so I dont really want to share it

put it archive with password make sure it's long upload it to megaupload or similiar pass the password thorough MSN ?

install filezilla server

get them to install filezilla client

get them to grab it over ftp.

or.

both install hamachi, create a virtual network, and use windows filesharing

you'll need to forward the ftp port to the filezilla server from your router

upload to rapidshare or megaupload. If you have an account with either of them or any other then you can just upload, get him to download it and delete it after

it has a file transfer option built in

As above I would suggest teamviewer. No hassle, no tech knowledge required, inbuilt ftp. Might not be very speedy, but will do the job.
