easy file transfer

Did a file transfer off a vista laptop, reformatted the drive and installed win 7. No problems till I try and install the files. I see the file transfer saved file and tell it to run and it says file transfer can't open it.

Your post doesn't really make much sense, can you get a screenshot of the error message?

Can do later, not there at the moment.
It's basically won't restore the backup file. Just says if cant, not explanation why

Any ideas, gonna try and put a fresh install of windows 7 on.
I could also try moving the files off the external hd on to the laptop.
Has no one else had this issue?

Re installed Windows and still nothing, now trying moving all the backup files on to the laptop and trying it again.
Has anyone else had problems like this?

Could this be because the vista might of been 64bit and windows 7 is 32 bit?

Bought the back up files to my house to try on a 64bit windows computer and still not working.
Anyone know a way I can recover this file

Hi have you any idea if this migrecover will work correctly in Windows 10 also will it back up & reinstall Ms Outlook accounts, inc passwords, & emails
