Easy meal to cook for Girlfriend?

Get two decent pieces of cod or haddock. Place in a baking dish (I use a non-stick loaf tin) on a little olive oil to stop them sticking. Halve some cherry tomatoes and cut up some chorizo them place on / around the fish. Add a decent dash of sherry. Season lightly. Put foil on the top tightly and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180c, or until the fish is just cooked and serve with some good sauteed (in butter) greens.

Bread + cheese + tomato puree + chilli powder + tomato sauce + onions

toast one side, then on the other side add cheese + tomato puree + chilli powder + tomato sauce + onions

Thats it, taste lovely!

For an awesome + easy starter..

1 can of Heinz Tomato Soup, a few shakes of Nandos PiriPiri powder, and mix in a few grams of that cheese you get in the supermarket that has chillies mixed in with it. (Add the cheese & powder whilst boiling the soup)

Then each have a cheese & onion topped bread roll from the supermarket. Cheap, easy and tasty starter :)

Just dress it up... candle light... soup and bread for starter... glass of wine... whatever idea you have as the main... the poshest desert you can do well... profit.

Well folks cheers for input.

I had a brain storm, I'm doing some chicken breasts stuffed with mozzarella and pesto, then wrapped in pancetta. Not sure if that's the way it should be but no doubt tasty!. Either a bigass mushroom full of stuff for starter. Or garlic chilli prawns.

Fingers crossed it comes up alright lol

You appear to have champagne taste on a beer budget

Pro tip: I've always found that if you're trying to impress a girl then the dessert is the important thing, not the main. :o

So no point putting too much effort into your spag bol (or whatever) and then following it with a frozen cheesecake. ;)

Possibly stating the obvious here. But it's worth a mention.

I thought the dessert was the thing that took place way after the meal, after a few glasses of nice wine,in the room upstairs. Not the room at the top of the stairs, the room next to that.:o

Bacon, mushrooms, half a pint of fresh single cream, oregano, onion, nice fresh pasta, cheese you both like either cheddar or better go for a hard cheese like finely pre grated parmesan & a posh garlic flat bread / ciabatta. Get a nice wine to go with it to if you're both going to drink, if she's not drinking you dont drink.

Gently fry bacon, add mushrooms and onion in a frying pan, once it's nicely cooked (no crispy bacon, you just want the bacon cooked). Add the cream to the frying pan, stir it every now and then make sure it does not burn you just want it to thicken. Whilst the aboves been going on have the bread in the oven and the pasta on the hob, when it's all ready pasta on dish, then the bacon/cream etc onto the pasta then cover lightly with oregano (make sure she likes oregano before putting it on).

Then follow up with a nice desert (not artic roll, thats for men only not date nights!)
