Hi Guys, had a bit of a nightmare this week, up until this past few days I have been running Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows XP Professional on my machine on separate hard drives and selecting boot device using EasyBCD. All of a sudden i have been getting "Primary Master Hard Drive Fail" and intermittent booting to loggin screen and then the machien reboots on its own. Has anyone else expereicned any other boot problems with EasyBCD? The only recent change that I can think of was a recent CCleaner run which subsequently started to throwup winlogon.exe errors...

From your description I don't think you've grasped what EasyBCD is for, it seems like you have been using it to set the bootable device each and every time, is this right?
If so then that is the wrong way to do it dude, you should add all of the bootable devices into EasyBCD and set a default one.
Then when you reboot you should get a menu to choose which OS to boot into with a timer that will select the default OS after a set time.

Boot related issues tend to show up as bootmgr or NTLDR missing, things like that.
This seems more like the drive is coming to the end of its life.
