Looking at the internet
Hi guys!

I got a 100% ebay feedback rating from about 60 items that are a mixture of sold/bought things ranging from 99p - £500. Recently, I bought an Dlink ADSL wireless router and paid instantly through paypal. To be fair, it arrived very quickly, but when it turned up, it was a DSL router rather than an ADSL router. I emailed him and a few days got a very short email back saying

"ADSL and DSL are the same thing"

I replied explaining that they were not and the differences between them and never heard anything back. Looking at a some other auctions he had, a few more people had been caught out in the same trap. After not hearing anything back off him, I sold the router on MM and bought a new one from somewhere else. I left the guy negative feedback explaining that he was not advertising a product did something when it did not.

Then yesterday, I noticed that he has left me negative feedback saying

"left -ve even though item was as described (dsl/adsl is the same thing!!!)"

Surely you can't leave negative feedback just because the buyer does even though I paid instantly? I know it's only a small thing, but I'm really annoyed to have lost my 100% when its not even my fault! Is there anyway of getting this removed?

Cheers

I don't think so unless the bloke himself removes it, which is a bit homogay tbh.

It's annoying when you lose your 100% feedback :( I lost mine when some noob got all honest and left me neutral feedback after I moved house and lost the item. Sympathy stupid ***********

i dont know if it is the same for buyers but when you are selling and someone has left feedback you can answer back to it so that others can see too.
it happened to me, i had been ill for sometime and had e-mialed the guy to let him know. he was fine, then left me feedback saying i had taken ages to send it. so i then answered back explaining why so that others could see it

Aaaah a damage to your 100% feedback rating makes you think dammit!!! You can get it removed by a legal process but its not worth it, the alternative is to discuss it in email with him so he removes it that way it becomes mutually withdrawn.

Dont worry too much, I had a long long 100% record then got 3 negatives in a row by 1 person because I was upset he took 2 weeks instead of the promised 1 day (which I paid extra for).

Someone left me a negative after I left a positive saying it arrived quickly but the packaging wasn't great (it came with the packing ripped up in a Royal Mail bag, the packaging was clearly unsuitable).

I got the negative removed by mutual agreement, but remember this also removes the rating for the feedback you left (the comment will still be there, but it wont count towards his whole score)

Mate, that's because it's a router, and not a modem and router in one. Unless he showed pictures and model numbers of the modem router in one, then you're in the wrong.

From the sound's of it, i'm going to have to side with the seller here.

It will work as an ADSL router.

Just not as an ADSL modem. You need to plug a modem into it (RJ45) - the router then handles... the routing.
