Ebay handbag - authenticity question

Just brought the mrs a prada handbag off the bay - feedback etc all looks good and guy seems genuine but is there a way to double check the bag before I hand it over?!

Says it comes with all the relevant info so is there anyway to get it checked?!

There are plenty of guides online for this sort of thing..

you'll have to check the authenticity certificate that all prada stuff comes with

i got one with my glasses (would post a pic so you know what to look for but i'm afraid they're back home for the winter)

Tbh without an original to compare it with it may be very difficult. Prada themselves may help as they obviously have an interest in any counterfeit goods.

I bought an Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirt on ebay once and the quality seemed fine. It had all the tags on and certificate of authenticity, etc. The T-shirt was advertised as genuine and his feedback was fine.

I only know it was counterfeit because I have the genuine stuff as well and could compare it.

Abercrombie and Fitch only give decisions on counterfeit goods to law enforcement apparently so I expect Prada will say the same if you asked.
