ebay not working ?

damn it, must be a ntl prob possibly ?

just got a text from my mate who is also on ntl and it's not working for him either

It's a nationwide DNS thing with ALL the main sites, try google, BBC, Microsoft etc etc etc

Don't know if it extends beyond NTL, but looks like DNS is borked:
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/article/268/ntl-dns-suffer-major-outage

Quite a substantial amount of ntl broadband customers tonight, have reported sluggish connections and absolutely no access to popular sites such as ebay and google. It has been suspected that a DNS issue is to blame. The last time this happened, ntl admitted it was a suspected DoS attack.

ntl confirmed with us in March this year, that they did suffer a suspected DoS attack.

As with the last time, just now, no other ISP users appear to be having any issues with their connection.

See our forum discussion thread on this current issue.

why is it, that whenever something like this happens, OcUK ALWAYS works?

Edit: on cableforums someone said

mne2 on cableforum said:
"For those of you having problems with ebay.co.uk try ebay.com instead. I've had much better success using the .com address."

no idea if it will work
