Ebay question. Help needed!

I sold a psp on ebay and the buyer is from nigeria. The thing is he has paid the money into the paypal account and the buyer is a new member. Do i send the item or just cancel the payment if this is possible.

I have no idea whatsoever bout cancelling transactions and suchlike.

Please help, don't wanna lose my cash or psp!!

It may be genuine though.
 
If someone from Nigeria buys something from you, then it's 99.999999999999999% a scam.

They will most likely take the money out of your Paypal account after you have sent it or they have payed with a hacked Paypal account.

Cancel the payment and report them to eBay, and next time list it for UK buyers only.
 
transfer money from your paypal into your normal account first if your in any doubt. this can take 5 days though.

Do not do this. Paypal will still claim the money back, leave you in debt, and send their boys round.

It's a scam end of. Return the payment, etc etc.
 
Log into PayPal - view the transaction details - near the bottom of the screen will be a refund option.

Then at eBay, start a dispute over the item stating buyer is not from UK (as you had UK only) .... then go through that to get the Final Value fees reclaimed.

What absolutely terrible advice. Do not do this, it will make no difference whatsoever.

Purely refund the payment and report the seller to eBay stating you have reason to believe it may be a scam.

Haha!

Just checked the paypal account, nothing in there but i recieved an email confiming payment. I think it's a scam email because the email address is strange. So no money has been exchanged luckily. Now with the issue of cancelling the ebay side of things, do i just put it as a non payer and then relist it?

The first words in any proper PayPal payment email will be:

Dear __(your full proper name you registered with PayPal)___

*most* scam emails won't have that.

and of course, always check by logging into PayPal to check it's there :)
