yep, you guessed it.

listed my w800 on ebay last night, buy it now of £130 ( 5 month old phone ) get an email this morning saying its been sold, and another email saying:
Hi, I would like to pay for this item via Postal Order , you know
myaddress is in UK,but right now i'm in Nigeria,i was sent there on a
Bussiness Trip, and i want to give it to the Head of the Department as a
gift, so i will like to know if you can ship it to Nigeria,i dont mind
paying any amount for the shipping cost, pls if you can do this for me
i'll be very grateful.if you accept kindly send your full name and
addresswhich am going to send it to.
Thanks.

now how do i report this to ebay? think the acount has been hijacked as the account address is in essex.

Looks spot on, another thing to look for is; i have been listing a lot of shoes lately and i get offers daily some of the users show up as scores over 100 and then when you click on their profiles they arn't an actual user?

Can show you what i mean on request.

But if i accecpted the offers, which i was very close to doing at first then i would have lossed out on around £7 for no reason.

Its getting really annoying now with these scammers.

They mostly target mobile phones, my mate tried selling his N70 5 times on ebay and each time he got hit with a nigerian scammer.

There's got to be something ebay can do to stop this.

sold my spare nokia 8800 last night, winning bidder was from a woman registered in USA eventhough it was a post to uk only auction, then recieve a message for them wanting it to be posted to a "Dimitri" in england, so itsnt just nigerian scammers these days, needless to say I refused to accept paypal and said cash or postal order only, not heard back from them since

I recently sold two mobiles on via that site and had numerous emails from Nigerian scammers, I just simply replied to them telling them to get lost, that I'd report them and a few other choice things and low and behold, the suddenly unregistered themselves.

It's a pain though and I was very concerned throughout selling them as I had a few 0 feedback people and thought I'd be scammed. Luckily they sold to credible members in the end.
