Anyone advise me on when the best time would be to list some goods for sale on ebay? Iam unsure now as most people will be on there holidays.

80% of bids are within the last 30seconds.

best time is around 7-8pm on a sunday. If not 8pm weekdays.

everyone is relaxed by then, eaten and shouldn't be doing much.

Don't do it for a Friday or sat night. People are generally out doing things

i try to have my auctions end around 5-6pm on a sunday, i have found that my items sell for more this way, may be just coincidence though but its never failed for me

on a related ebay matter (didn't want to start a new thread), just sold a phone on ebay and they want it before xmas (last minute much  ). Anyway, the post office up the road is open till 5:30 on a saturday but the question is will they still pick up Special Delivery items today?

Personally i think that between 6 and 11 pm would be the best time to end, closer to 11 the better due to the fatc that most people will be home from work by then and will most likely stay up to see the end..

As said above, the bids will fly in within the last few hours..

Also, i would deff wait until the new year, when all the kids/teenagers/adults have money from xmas and tend to use ebay as a cheep alternative to the shops, obviously dependant upon what you are due to be selling..

Good luck dude.

Cheers, its a PMP GFX card and t-shirt.

aye but normally post offices close at 12:30pm on a Saturday, there just happens to be one that opens till 5:30pm here but don't know if they still do pick ups from there.

Well, RMSD is next working day by 1pm gaurenteed. So if they work xmas eve then it'll be fine, otehrwise you'll be able to claim.

Sunday was always the best day with items ending say between 7-9ish.

But over the years, ebay has became bigger and more popular, and it also depends on what you are selling.

And as some have said any day between say 7-10 is good apart from friday and saturday (exception been buy it now items which you can list at anytime).

Think about items you are selling aswell, if you sell world wide, is the item more popular in another country than what it is in the UK - if try to list so it ends at the said times in thair times zone. etc

Its not just about the time you list items, its also you Title, a good honest description and photos that sell your item.

Title is one of the most important things, because alos of people search for items, ie if your selling a mobile phone, you could have the best description in the world etc but as ive seen a lot of time a usless title like "mobile phone"

Funnily enough I was just conidering listing some items today but wasn't sure about the timing. I came to the conclusion ending on the 30th is a bad idea. Too many people will be doing other things. :)
