So I think this is going to be my first experience of buying an item off a dodgy seller... I won the item on Monday, (delivery due wed) but about 5 mins after winning the auction I realised the item description and the picture didn't match. ****!
I emailed the seller informing them of the mistake and could you please cancel the transaction and issue a refund.
1 day later I get a message saying my item had been shipped and was due for delivery on thurs/Friday! They have come up with the excuse their email wasn't working so now their using a different one.
Iv told them I will file a item not as described dispute through eBay to return the item, but now they are telling me they messed up the delivery and it will now be the end on next week and so far they have provided a tracking number which isnt recognised!
What would you guys do? Raise an item not as described dispute now?! Raise an item not received?! Or wait until the end if next week to see if it turns up?
Is it possible to raise a item not received now then cancel it when it turns up and raise another dispute?! I feel like on getting robbed

How can it be the end of next week if its already shipped. Assuming its in this country

That’s what im thinking, the woman (husband is on a stag do apparently) thinks it was shipped with ups, I didn’t know ups had a 7 day delivery service?!
I have contacted them again saying the tracking number doesn’t work...

I was worried that if I file an item not recieved could I then close that dispute (if it arrives) and raise an item not as described to return it?

I would say your best bet is just wait and see, then you will know how to proceed.

a) Either the item turns up and is fine.

b) It turns up and is not as described - open dispute

c) It doesn't turn up - open dispute.

Either way you're not going to lose out in the long run, so don't get worked up in the meantime :)

They have sent the item 7-10 day delivery not tracked as its the cheapest way...They haven't said who they have used.

This. Give it till the end of next week, and if it doesn't turn up file the dispute as item not received, if it turns up after you've opened the dispute and it's not as described then mention that on the dispute (i don't think you can raise multiple disputes per order?)
