Ebay Watch Help Please - Ive been conned

I personally don't think you're stupid at all. It is an easy mistake to make.

On a happier note, having read your profile on this forum, I am delighted to announce that I wish to deposit undeclared windfalls of £10,000,000 into your personal bank account. All I need from you are your most personal details.

How do you go about reporting someone like this? anyone have any idea?

That is stupid, this is one of the many reasons i've gone off ebay - thank god for the guy who sent you that email tbh!

The seller seems to have set his feedback to private, which to me shows he has something to hide from potential buyers. I hope you've reported him to ebay for all of the stuff he has sold, some people don't know much about the internet or research, and WILL get stung by guys like this because of it.

It's a coincendence that this thread came up.

My housemate found out that her eBay account has been hacked three days ago and he/she has been listing fake watches.

She only realised when she randomly logged in and say that ebay wanted £300 worth of listing fees

Confidence really is dying in eBay.

My only venture into eBay in about the past year was recently to get some car mats. I spoke to the seller by e-mail lots, for £40 worth of mats. It is a shame that there's an increasing number for fraudsters spoiling it for the genuine sellers who can really reach a different audience.
