ebay woes

I know I brought it on myself not selecting uk bidders only, but I had a collection only item, and some funny man from Nigeria has bid and won my auction, I'm at loggerheads what to do now, as I don't want to be lumbered with the final value fee's.

Whats the best course of action?

Thanks :(

If the item says collection only, then offer collection, otherwise remove his bid and 2nd chance offer someone else.

Also, you are going to be lumbered with final value fee's unless you cancel the auction, regardless of transaction/collection method.

Or is that your plan all along?

If the item is not collected he'll be in breach of contract and you'll have to re-advertise, asking ebay for any fees back as the sale didn't go through.

How long did you stipulate collection must be made?

Andi.

i have had this twice before on one item, you can get your FVF back quite easily. Open an unpaid item dispute or a unwanted item dispute and relist. I did this twice within two weeks on the same item due to scammers!

Can I do it now?

If I do that cancel transaction thing I'd be fearful I'd be footing a bill of 10% which is £13.50

Or shall I wait til the 19th and open a case?

I've never been in this situation before.

You will get all your fees back, the only issue you have is the total inconvenience of wasted time for selling your item.

E-Mail the seller first (as eBay I believe has records of ones sent through their system), ask him when exactly he is coming to pick the item up! ;)

Chances are, he will reply saying he wants it shipped, at which point you can reply back and say that method wasn't offered. At that point file a dispute with eBay, you can choose the relevant reason from the drop box. He then has the option of whether to agree with it and cancel the transaction, or else if he doesn't respond they will just award it in your favor.

If he ignores the request though, you will be limbo until the dispute resolves automatically, which is a bit of a bummer.

ICant remember how you do it, butjust disregard his bid and do a second chance offer on the next highest bidder, just search ebay help for second chance.

On another note, I understand you say collection only but if he is willling to pay for the delivery then just send him it (Delivery will be a lot). If the money is in your bank account then there shouldnt be an issue really should there? Just the burden of packing and shipping to the post office.

Seriously would you send all them games consoles over there? As much as I regard them as junk there is still value in them..

On a further note, theres no second chance offer, I can give anyone.

And also ebay live support say cancel the transaction, but isn't this a two way thing? If he agree's will I still get my FVF returned to me?

Thanks
