Well as somebody who has been converting bikes since 2011 it's all you need.
I've never looked at distance or speed.
Fair enough with the bigger computer you can get into the gubbins and increase the speed HOWEVER I never bothered because not really advisable.
I think the first kit in 2011 Cyclotricity did say their 250 watt motors could do 18mph with no problems so I did set that parameter.
I found the Yose Power kits are nearly that anyway.
