Ebola scaremongering?

Words like epidemic and pandemic get thrown about too much. Just the media trying to find something to write about. Same old.

What would make Ebola even more scarier than it already is, would be if it were to become less virulent. The only reason these outbreaks flare up, then die down so quickly is because it debilitates and then kills it's victims before they have the chance to spread it that far.

That and it becoming airborne would get me ******** myself :(

My housemate knows someone going over to the area affected for their work (to the city where they are having cases of it), apparently not a concern as it's difficult to transmit. It's not like it's airborne.

Balls. I thought you were going to link me to a newspaper using a study that showed the Reston straine rather than zaire. All I can say is ****e :( let's hope due to it only being one experiment it was a fluke somewhere(doesn't appear to have been discredited though).

Well thank you (I think :D).

Indeed the worry could be unwarranted, but how many are doing Ebola research anyway?

I read a link someone posted last week of an autobiography by a Russian bioweapons rat, most of it seemed made up, as if they were doing almost pointless research with antibiotic treatable bacteria.

I call BS all round!
