Not sure if its been discussed here yet, but what do you think of the new Saitek Eclipse 2 Keyboard

Lots of changes including 3 LED colour settings

Media keys and a dimmer switch.

Should be released soon if not already.

I really hate it, reminds me of those cheap gaming cases. Maybe it could marry a Vento.

Ugly as sin, but the rudder pedals on their site look interesting, if they make a flight yoke to go with them

I will get one, dont care if its naff looking if it types well, hardly ever look at the keyboard unless I am gaming.

Isn't it the eclipse 3?
There were two other versions.

Why pay a premium for a fancy keyboard if you never look at it?
If your buying a keyboard for typing, if its anything like the current eclipse it will be rubbish.
A cheap logitech i have is far better for typing on than my eclipse, and if they don't make this new one better to type on i'm not going to get it because i really don't like typing on this one, and i've decided i need a keyboard thats nice to type on rather than one that looks nice.

I like the Eclipse for playing games on, but my old IBM one from a 486 DX I got given is my main tapper, just so easy to get up to speed and stay there on it.

They keys just respond a lot better than on any other board I have used.
