Hi,
I know that there are numerous threads on this forum dedicated to how rubbish Eclipse internet are and how great they once were, but I'd really like to pull all of the information that we can together about what exactly is going on with them right now.
It's especially important at the moment, because from what I understand, there seems to be a widespread connection speed issue that's a lot larger than they're trying to make out.
Looking at the status page in my Eclipse console, it says that the service is slow, and the status on this item is updated once every few days with a generic message saying that they are investigating the problem.
That would be fine, but I've now been billed £29.99 a month for three months of what must be around 56k speeds.
It's only started happening since April(ish), and I've noticed other people have been complaining of similar issues.
Exactly how many are suffering from this? How likely is it really that it's a line problem?
I'm in a 12-month contract with these people after 3 years of happy service when living with my mum. I'm now in my own place regretting doing that. Is there any way you're aware of that I can buy myself out of my contract? I've submitted a support ticket asking the same thing. I'll let you know what they say.
Either way, present day customers / very recent customers, I'd be very pleased to hear what you've got to say about the current state of affairs.
Thanks,
Karl.
