EDF Flextras freebies / Power perks

Well now I am with EDF I need a new thread for the equivalent to Octopus free power sessions

Just in case anyone is unaware they run a scheme called Flextras, you need to install the app and log in and enable it.
They can run all sorts of perks based on this (they say) but the main equivalent is to the Octopus free hours.

Got a message earlier that EDF are giving me free power (power perks) from 11pm tonight until 6am tomorrow.

I wonder if this is highly regional and will pretty much the same as the free Octopus ones I used to get.

Oh and when you enable the app you also get a free on year tastecard thingy.

Good point, I had mentally reserved them for Dec/Jan when I could really do with an hour of battery charging to avoid peak units, they are valid for 1 year

Or is there small print that says free power as long as you dont use X amount at a time or in total.

"You do not need to opt-in to receive the free electricity from a Free Electricity Event. All electricity supplied by EDF to you during a Free Electricity Event will be free (“Free Electricity”). Any Free Electricity owed, or Free Electricity awarded as part of a Free Electricity Event, will be paid as a credit amount only, which shall be applied to your account. "

Will have to get them around to try and fit a smart meter again then since you need one for the flextras deal.
Last time they arrived to fit a smart meter the chap said the signal was too weak for it to work.

No free leccy for me this evening, I have used 2 of the flextra hours today as the forecast was low, so those 2 hours should net me £1.50 of profit.

Indeed, shame its not daytime slots like last time! But free power is free power, car is at 39% and house batteries are empty so ill take it!
