Edinburgh Zoo Parking

When I find myself driving into the town centre at the weekend, I park over the far side of the Dean Bridge as it's just outside the parking zone at the weekend. There are always spaces if you know where to look, I parked here easily enough.
If you're fine with the bus, I'd recommend the Park and Ride from Ingliston as traffic is a bit of a nightmare since Shandwick Place is shut to vehicles. Alternatively, you can park on Corstorphine Road in certain places on a Sunday/Bank Holiday, and I suspect there will be loads of people doing that this weekend.
OT - going through Shandwick Place a couple of days ago felt like a scene in Children of Men, you're shepherded through narrow paths and can only cross at certain places, it reminded me of a scene at the train station.

The parking was fine when i was there, but i actually got there before it opened!
Oh, i got free parking too, the guy was sound! lol... think its because i had been there waiting 45mins for it to open lol
