Edison Ceiling Pendants?

Why are these so damn hard to find without costing an arm and a leg from amazon. Ebay has some but I'd prefer a pick up today.

Screwfix, B&Q and whickes dont stock them at all

That is a bayonet fitting Edison fitting are a screw thread
I suppose they are not popular in the uk bayonet fittings have been used for so long

Not popular over here, almost everything is b22 (bayonet).
Ikea sell slim adapters.

Buy a BC one and then replace the holder with an ES holder. The ES holders seem more readily available.

People normally buy bulbs to suit the fitting not the other way round one being a consumable and all that just wandered why specifically ES when most UK fittings are bayonet.
