This bug seems to be getting worse. It's now happening about 25% of the time and has also migrated across to when you quote a post too.
That's me quoting a post from the 'Ruined Christmas' thread.

I don't envy the person who has to get to the bottom of this.
Can you reliably reproduce the issue (e.g. you can copy an offending URL into a new tab and experience the same behaviour)?

Yes. Just tried that with two different posts that are showing this bug, and both are exhibiting the exact same problem in new tabs. It still occurs even after shutting down and restarting Firefox.
Can you link the two posts youre having issues with?

Windows 10 64bit, on both.
It happens to me quite frequently for replying and very rarely if ever for editing. My security and privacy settings are so harsh I don't even have a cache any more so I can't clear it.
It's been happening as long as I can remember, through numerous versions of Firefox, but only for specific posts. If I can't reply to one post, I'll still be able to reply to others including others on the same page of the same thread. I haven't seen what's common to the posts I can't reply to.
I'm running Win 7 Home Premium with all security patches and Firefox 50. But it's been happening for numerous versions of Firefox. I don't recall if it happened with XP. That was too long ago.

Is it happening for anyone who isn't using the dark theme or is it actually an issue with that? Haven't seen this issue before on safari or chrome (both versions iOS, Windows & Mac) but then I am not using the dark theme.
