+1 for dungeon keeper 1 & 2 used to love that game I'd probably still be playing it now if I could getit to Run stable on w7

I'm about to check out that site! :)

My dual core 2.6Ghz, 3Gb, 8s Geforce card struggled with Torchlight when casting spells quickly. Sacred ran alright until there was a lot of enemies, items on the ground and other details (very rare though), and Sacred 2 ran on maybe 20-30FPS, not on notebook mode though.

I can't, because it's DDR2, and this one uses DDR memory.

Wtf  there is something wrong with that machine then, my laptop is terrible and ran Torchlight with zero issues on its native resolution of 1280x800 maxed, although I was a warrior and not a spell caster. Sacred was the same, very high fps regardless of what was happening, and Sacred 2 was very high FPS in notebook mode for me.

Also, Torchlight has a notebook mode too.

Baldurs gate 1+2 with expansion packs, Icewind Dale 1+2 and Planescape Torment. Check all the mods for extras content as well on all game. They all have res and UI fixes as well.

OK well the good news is your system is high end for the time period; a 1.3ghz/512MB/GF3 system was top of the line even in 2001 so can probably run some games from 2000 reasonably well too. Therefore I will buck the rules slightly and expand my recommendations to include:

-Diablo 2
-Red Alert 2
-No One Lives Forever
-Red Faction

If you want to take a risk then maybe consider Max Payne and Serious Sam from 2001, although performance won't be great by modern standards.

Those will be fine. The Geforce 3 doesn't really struggle until you throw a lot of shaders at it or AA\AF. Still better than that horrible FX5200 64-bit OEM card that found its way into millions of PCs years later :p

surprised at the lack of mentions for thief 1, 2 and 3. i've played part of thief 1 (thief gold) and all of thief 3 so i'd say that thief 1 should be no problem for the PC but you might have problems with thief 3 depending on how low the graphics can go
