Educate me about Garden Sheds.

Yes, I didn't think I was the only one. Enough timber to make a 10x8 shed for £150-250? Yeah, righto.

OP, I've had 2 large Tiger Sheds and been very pleased with the quality overall.

Did your tiger sheds use the 28 x 44mm frame timber that the ones they have now do ?

Seems a little bit small and flimsy, but having not seen them I can't be sure.

Also how do OSB floors cope with general day to day use vs Tongue and groove floors ?

I bought one about 3 years ago and the other about six months ago, so probably the 28x44 frame. It's not flimsy when it's all assembled. I'd buy another one, put it that way.

Can't comment on OSB floors but t&g floors are great. Creak a bit unless you have a perfect base though.

I bought a 10x8 security shed (no windows) tongue and groove off ebay for £350 all in including delivery and erection. It's great for the money, but the only downside is they used a tarpaulin laid over the roof planks instead of felt. I questioned this upon delivery and they said they've been using this method for some time. Because i felt it was already a bargain especially being tongue & groove, i didn't complain. I know it will rip sooner or later, so i'll just buy a roll of felt to cover it properly.

I made the base out of 2x2 slabs before they arrived. If you do this, make the base a little larger than the shed base. 12" extra slab around the shed is ideal.

Build your own? I built mine, its fun to do, can be built exactly how you want and will only cost 150-250 in materials
I know a few people poo-pooed this, but I was looking at fencing panels last weekend and (apart from the wonky £15 ones) there are some nice ones for about £33.

So, four of those with a door cut out of one of them, a plywood roof, a few struts = 6'x6' shed, job done

Incidentally plywood all seems to be around £25 whether it is 9mm or 25mm, might as well use the thick stuff and get a roof that provides stiffening as well.
But jebus that adhesive felt stuff has doubled in price since I last used it! My own shed plan needs a rethink now :(

The OP wanted a 10' x 8' shed and also specified it had to be strong. You couldnt build something that size and decent quality for that price.

Also you forgot windows, the base, the apexes and a door. It would still probably come to more than £150-250 once you add all that.

I got to replace the felt on my shed, been looking at 'Tile Effect Steel plastic coated Roofing Sheets', available in different colours, each a metre & you buy it by the foot.
Still looking at what's available & suppliers , but this link gives you a idea of what I'm considering.
