EE billing me wrong?

There seems to be some wrong billing on my account. When I took the contract I was told £33. It's normally £46.99 but I have 30% friends and family discount.

So, £46.99 5GB data, unlimted calls and texts, minus 30% for friends and family = £32.89. On the paper contract I'm looking at in front of me, the salesmen actually wrote '£32.89 friends & family'

On 'MY EE' on my phone however, they have my plan breakdown at £28.66. Add VAT and that makes £34.39. MY EE also says next estimated bill: £34.39. (It should be £27.41 + VAT to work out at £32.89).

Seems that they've given me about 27% discount.

I know it's a small amount, but I presume that since I have exactly 30% discount written on the contract I can insist they adjust it?

Can't remember when they last happened but it's not just the result of an RPI related yearly price hike since taking out the contract is it?

Well I took the contract out at the start of June and my EE account online is still showing 'EE Regular - 5GB £46.99' Contract end date 4/6/17.

Yeah give them a call.

How come it's not 40%? I swear I'm on 40%.

I was on 50% with T mobile until the beginning of last month. When I took out the new EE contract, my nephew (who works for EE, hence my discount) told me it'll be 40% but the salesman told me it's now 30%. I was disappoint! I'm guessing that as long as you don't change your plan they'll probably keep you on 40%.

Yeah I went from 50% to 40 but that was back in Jan 2014. They really are cracking down.

Give them a call, they should sort it. Also ask why it's not 40%, you might get lucky.

Yeah, I'll call them tomorrow. Don't think I'll get much luck on the 40% though. According to the first post in this,

any upgrades after May mean going from 40% to 30%. Perhaps I should have upgraded a few weeks earlier than I did.

Ok, I found out why I would have been charged £1.50 more. Itemised paper billing! I thought I wasn't on paper billing anymore, so anyway, they've removed that now and I'm at £32.89. You can't get itemised billing online either because offcom say it has to be a paper bill. So with non itemised billing, you only get to see phone numbers that are outside the allowance, like premium rate. Also, 40% discount was before May 1st.

The woman I spoke to was very helpful. However, the first person I spoke to before that on the phone today at EE was rude. He was explaining some stuff quite fast and I wanted to interrupt so I said "woa woa woa.." Nothing rude, just wanted him to stop him so I could clarify some details. He said "don't you woa woa woa me.." and after that we ended up having an argument and then I put the phone down on him. I reported it to the woman I spoke to who apologised and said the phone call would be listened to and they would speak to that bloke. Unbelievable really how some of these people think they can talk to customers.
