Is anybody on ee fiber on here as I'm thinking of moving from virgin media as they are too expensive now, the package I want is the 1600 gb.

I just left them after 2 years with them (and 12 years or so with BT on FTTC & FTTP). No issues at all with the service, I don't remember there being any downtime. Their supplied router is fine. I didn't use it personally but my parents are using the BT branded version and it's given zero problems.

The only reason I left was that as an existing customer they wanted to screw me over on renewal pricing so I went elsewhere. If they weren't so keen on penalising customer loyalty I'd still be a customer of theirs.

Yeah, the moment FTTP was put down our street earlier this year, when VM gave me their amazing renewal price of £70+ for 1G Internet only, I cancelled and didn't negotiate, and even cancelling was a laugh (and glad they've been pinged for this financially!), they just made sure to roll over 1 day to try to charge me another month and had to get CS to refund me that..

I just went with EE's 1600mbps offering and its been fine, whilst it's lower latency and I can pretty much max out ( 200MB/s) the download, it's not life changing or anything but it just works. I had both overlap for about 3 weeks and didn't have any speed or latency issues when comparing..

At the end of the day, 1.6gbps is better than 1gbps for the same money, so there was nothing to really 'lose' and so far, so good..

If EE mess me around at renewal, I'd jump ship to VM, 1G is plenty, even with my heavy downloading..

Was with BT for years, when I renewed it was then EE was with them for two years, no problems really, just the BT router would reboot every 2 weeks, would have probably stayed with EE if it was for the price. EE wouldn't replace the router.

I've only been with them for a month, but it's been excellent so far. Using their provided WiFi 7 extender, I'm getting the full 1.6 speeds to all my supported devices.

It's a shame the price will probably increase when it comes to renegotiating, but hopefully there'll be new symmetrical packages available given that's 23 months away, so I should be able to negotiate a bit or go elsewhere.
