EE signal box anyone used one?

so where I live is a bit of a black spot an when we first moved here we got a weak o2 signal but over the last wee while o2 have done work on the local mast and made it worse..

so im out of contract and have spoke to EE and they have agreed if I take 2 sim only deals they will give us a signal box for in the house.

I do get an EE signal but again our full house is a black spot. If I sit my phone up the top landing next to the window I get 1 bar and a 4g connection to EE ( I tried a Pay as you go sim in my phone ) out side I get a good EE signal better than o2 to be honest.

so has anyone got any experience with the EE signal box?

Ive got one.

One big issue with it, it only works on 3g so if your phone defaults to 4g / lte its doesnt help.

To get around it I just have a profile that changes my phone to 3g whenever it connects to my wifi. Other than that they work fine

got it yesterday and so far so good I haven't had any problems. as I say I could only get 1 bar on 4g if I sit my phone at the window in the top landing so I cant see me sitting there to make any phone calls so it should all be good.

My mate Ian was in last night with his phone which is virgin mobile and he also got a full 3g signal.

nope none of our handsets support this. I did look at that idea as well

My mate is thinking on going from the 950 to the 950xl if he does im in line to get his 950 so this will support it which would be cool.

I love the WiFi calling on the Z5 I have with EE. My house is "ok" but some places I visit (mate's house, local pubs) are in a black spot so I just jump on their WiFi and can do calls/texts etc.

Been a real bonus TBH and didnt think much about it until I got WiFi calling.
