EE signal box. How to activate a second hand one?

I bought a new sealed EE booster off ebay and rung EE tonight to see about getting it connected and although this boxes are for sale and not rented out and they are not for you to use as you wish!!!

They out right refused to connect the box. Any ideas as there are loads on the bay at the moment. If not ill have to chuck it back on there

By the way, are you on some sort of contract? You need to be before they'll activate it (including on the numbers on the page I listed above).

i rang the number listed there and nope not a chance in hell even after a chat with 2 managers
