Effect of better fans on case temp

looking at the pic its not too bad imho.

from the first pic any chance the blue ide cable can run up the side of the drive cage closest to the camera, the 2nd connector on it seems to be enough to take it into the top unit opposite the psu.

any chance the leads from the psu can be cable tied to the frame supporting the psu so it holds them closest to the camera ?

IF* those thermaltake fans are called TT-1225A, they are excellent for high cfm, but are to loud(12v). even at 7v,they would beat the ambers at 12v.


if they are as above and are at 12v, there is something wrong!this is what i would do in this order
1.remove dust filter at front
2.as you say ,noise isnt a issue, put fans at 12v(front>in/side>in/rear>out)see if temp gets better.
3.if temps stay same,upgrade cpu cooler as it would be about the same price to upgrade the fans

Cheers goodshot. I'll have a look later as to what the fans say. I haven't done anything to change them so how do I check if they're at 7 or 12v? I know they are blowing in the correct directions though.

I'll gladly remove the dust filter.

I can't do anything about the IDE cable. It's streched as it is because it connected to the top HD as well.

It should be possible to have some of the power cables run behind the HD bay, I'll give that a try

I plan to lap my CPU which could bring CPU temps down a few deg. Would that then give lower case temps?
 
as silly as it sounds, ditch the round ide cables and use flats. its FAR easier to tuck them behind things. look at the inside of my old case again. the top ddvd drive uses a flat ide cable, but you cant see it;)
