EFL Cup - Semi-Final ** Spoilers ** [10/11/25/26 January 2017]

Lingard has made some nice runs but when he actually gets the ball he's just utter crap. That ball to a 3m offside Rashford...who plays that pass??

For the record, it's a definite penalty. Pause or watch carefully/slow it down at 43 second mark. Just as the Hull player slows Rojo grabs his shirt and yanks him forward. IT was a clear shirt pull and you can see the angle the ref sees it from. It's incredibly rarely given, incorrectly. It was a good call though, Rojo pulling player to ground by yanking his shirt.

It's soft, it wouldn't be given in a lot of games. I think the problem is, if it is a penalty the Smalling one is 100% a penalty too. It's just clear bias from the ref, much like giving Jones a yellow in the first 15 mins then not giving the Hull player one for the same thing 30 secs later.

Utter rubbish. A soft shirt pull is not a foul. Both players are pushing each other as well. If you think that is a penalty you would have 2-3 penalties every time a cross or corner comes in.

He seems to be able to ignore pretty much anything so far. I don't expect that to change in the last 10 minutes.
