EGR Error Reading Through OBD2

Hi there,

I have recently got a elm327 obd2 reader and I am using it with Torque Pro.

I have a kia 2.0 crdi and I have noticed that my egr error is showing -99 and when driving it will switch between 99 and -99%.

I am getting no error codes relating to this, and I have cleaned my egr valve out, when I cleaned it out it was moving free and easy from me pushing it in and out.

What can be causing this? or is it time for a new egr valve? or is this something which can be ignored?

I wouldn't worry about it. OBD only gives you basic information and not all of the live data is entirely useful or accurate at times. If you have no problems or faults then leave well alone.

Surely the egr error reading would mean that the egr is not opened as much as requested or too much than requested, would this result in the car driving differently?
