played wow on me new rig and im getting 33 37fps on full detail 1024x768 resolution LOL.... when my graphics card and general spec should be able to kill this game fully maxed??? i dont get it???? i didnt use fraps but the ingame fps check...

could it be the way i installed the game... as i copied over the wow folder from my old rig to the new one and hence the game has not recognise the new spec graphics card lol....???

Is the framerates capped in any way? (vsync, ingame, by your internet connection speed etc)

What performance did you get before with your old rig?

Is it only in Wow that you are experiancing these framerate issues?

Is reinstalling the game something you will consider?

reinstalling wow mind my french takes the **** hence i copyed over the folder...
i dont think wow has Vsync internet connection doesnt affect ingame framerate does it i thought it just cause lag but not affect framerate... with old rig i had 80fps... yes only in WOW i was playing crysis the other day maxed out above 45+ frames at all times...

If your old rig gave you 80FPS, im assuming from an install, your first course of action should be to install WoW on this Pc, rather then just copy it over (regardless how much of a pain it is, as most likely by the time you found another solution, you may find reinstalling to have been the quicker/easier option).

If this fails, i would start looking around for people with the same/similar setups to you and see what they are getting.

wow + expansions = 14ghb of data lol and there servers are slow as ***** lol but oh well i try it...

Make sure you fully star out any swear words please.

Reinstalling shouldnt make any difference, i believe Blizzard confirmed just copying the installation directy to a different location would make a perfect backup and shouldnt cause any issues.

The only thing is that you may have shadows on the "Ultra" setting turn it down to high (one setting below ultra) as this has been known to effect the performance hugely for not a lot of gain. Also there is vsync turn that off as well.

my wish in life is that people stop using lol for things that aren't funny...

example, i took my dog for a walk, lol.

try renaming config.wtf to config.old.wtf, there's some other old cache files you might want to hose also - but dont remember what they are called.

I thought 30fps was the limit for MMO's? It's what i've seen on Star Wars Galaxies and City of Heroes/Villains.

wow doesnt officially support the high end cards, but i think i know the problem. set the shadow slider down 1 notch from full, you will see a big gain in fps. i think the have coded it wrong and mucked it up but that should boost your fps. Happens to my hd 4890

I had the same problem when I upgraded to a much faster rig, the fps was terrible just like yours so I deleted the WTF folder and voila framerate through the roof once I reset all the settings to max.
