8th, Wii launch and I do not have one so I feel like being a bit of a scrouge.

Bah humbug and all of that!

Anyway, just had to remove lots and lots of competitors from the Wii launch threads, if you could all please just not say where you got it from it would be appreciated, it is of no use to anyone anyway! :(

Cheers, I know in the heat of it all you just have to say that Greggs gave you one with that muffin but please try not to. :)
 
Im the same, didnt get one either. Just back from the shops on the off chance i could stumble across one, no such luck :(

*edit* Above are now competitors, LOL :D A no competitors thread and the second reply in it has competitors, gotta love this place :)

Yewen. Having to make this thread just shows how much of a joke this new competitor rule is. Someone has even broken the rules in it too!

He has been given the standard suspension length, he is not banned just suspended.

All will have been made clear in the email he was sent.

New competitor rule is not a joke, been just fine until now when people not in consoles have come in for the first time in years, as highlighted by the post above.

Every other section can follow and live just fine with the no competitors rules, so has gaming for the past week with probably the least mentions of any section!

It is perfectly reasonable. If it sells consoles it is a competitor. Nothing like a joke really and as ever nobody is forced to post here, but if you do then you have to follow the rules that have been put in place and respect the owners wishes.

I'm not gonna get into an argument with you about this as you would never openly admit there is a problem.

Yes, but in consoles linking to said cabbage would be linking to a competitor, but in GD its fine.

Just dont link to any stores from gaming and you will be fine.

RoB- there is no problem at all I assure you, PC gaming is just fine as is consoles, since I posted this thread only removed one so there most certainly is not any issue.

This is just the warning and if it continues with the same people over and over there will be suspensions, but its so far away from all of that at the moment that this warning will be sufficient to allow me time to complete Sonic. :o

But... for the sake of debate (NOT argument)...

OcUK don't sell cabbages,, hence why it's fine in GD. If I remember correctly, you also don't sell video games, only consoles. So IF in GD I linked to a particular console game for sale on a competitor, would that also be allowed?

(I realise what you are probably going to say, just throwing this up because even I get confused by some of these rules :( )

The competitor is still a competitor if what they sell competes with OcUK's product ranges.

If I sold millions of cabbages and had one 360 for sale, I could link to the cabbages all day in GD but if I linked to the 360 in gaming they are a competitor.

This is why supermarkets are only a competitor when in certain contexts, for all intensive purposes any store you would wish to link to in gaming is a competitor.

HEhe, my mate next to me is having a go on Zelda while I laugh at how ridiculous people look (me included I guess) while playing it. :D

I'll kick him out soon :p
