Yup it's the last day of Ramadan...! Eid tomorrow :D:D:D:D:D:D
30 days of Fasting, went fast.. whoop whoop :)

Eid Mubarak everyone..! Hope you all enjoy the day... Luckily iv got the next two days off. :D

And for the Haters, Don't bother ruining this thread. It's not like you all dont know what Eid/Ramadan means

Congratulations on making it through another year :)

A pal of mine at the office has been doing it, he's found it particularly tough because he's also giving up smoking.

Without knowing the full detail behind it, I think it's an amazing show of faith and belief to be able to manage to do it.

Us Christians give up a treat for a few weeks at Lent, which isn't quite as difficult (and most of us don't bother!) :)

Congratulations (or whatever the most appropriate salutation should be!)

Last year i did the exact same thing. Gave up smoking. Never looked back, it's been a year now. Proud of it.

Ramadan

Fasting occasionally might be good for you

doing it because some historical character told you to/out of tradition... while I can have some sympathies for tradition - Christmas can be fun etc.. a tradition which involves starving yourself during the day just seems a bit pointless.

(just saying... don't expect to start a thread and only hear views that agree/support your own - especially when religion is concerned)

The thing is, he didn't ask for your views on Ramadan (or anyone else's, for that matter).

But they will.

You should know it's impossible to discuss religion on OCUK without it turning into mud-slinging. It's best to do it elsewhere. I never talk about anything spiritual, paranormal or religious here anymore.

I know. :(

Eid Mubarak, this Ramadan has been quite difficult. A Ramadan which I have truly felt. I have learnt a lot about myself this Ramadan, done a lot of self analysis and it's given me time to reflect on where I have been lacking. It's also motivated me, which I really needed!

Thank you Ramadan you will definitely be missed.

Eid Mubarak!

I know someone that's been doing it and they've really been struggling - constantly yawning all the time etc!

I didn't really find it that hard me. At first it was, the first few days. But after that. Went smooth. :)

This thread went from 0 to trolling in no time.

Eid Mubarak.

LOL yep nothing ever changes in here:rolleyes:

Eid Mubarak fellow muzzies:p.

Looking forward to tommorrow, catching up with family and the sort. Should be a huge feast as it normally is.

Only one troll, killerkabab and about 7 moaning about something that didnt really happen. Then 1 off topic.

I buy our curry from a Pakistani take-out and was chatting to the one of the guys there who said it's been very difficult this year, with it being long days. I said it'd be even harder working where he works! Some dedication!

This year has been solid, but glad i managed them all, was poorly as well for about a week but stuck through it.

Todays been horrible, was expecting/hoping eid was today but no its sunday! so a few more hours to go.

So Happy Eid everyone.

And just ignore the haters, hater gonna hate, well jel :p

My sympathise are with those around the world suffering, everyone should donate to what ever charities you are fond of, but most importantly keep the less unfortunate in your minds. During ramadan we dont eat for what, 18 or so hours, there are millions of children around the world who will go days without food or water. I always find ramadan brings the suffuerring of others into perspective. Peace out
