Hi,

I ordered an eisbaer 360 for my rig and I'm looking for advices. I was hesitating with silent loop 360 is the eisbaer a good choice?

I had an arctic liquid freezer 240 which was really disappointing.

I saw that thread liquid can be changed on the eisbaer , If I ever need to, what should I use? I'm kinda new to watercooling and I might ask silly questions. :)

Well actually it seems to perform better now, i changed the thermal paste and regulate the fans,

I have a 4790k.

35 degree idle by now, around 55/60 in game.

I reached 87 degrees when encoding on adobe premiere, is that normal?

But before it was going over 70 in game and i was not happy at all about it !

By the way, i would like to optimize the settings in my bios, i haven't oc yet, it's stock with boost 4.4ghz but i was wondering about vcore settings and management (adaptive, offset, manual)

It's currently on offset but i wanted to know if there were any settings which would be better and help runs cooler.

I was thinking of getting the silent loop 360 instead, is it a good choice?

I was wondering if my tubes on the arctic are not too twisted

and if maybe i should put it like this :

4790k is a hot chip, but those idle and gaming temps look good and certainly what i would expect.

The 87 degree is abit odd ( unless the games weren't very taxing.

Download HWiNFO https://www.hwinfo.com/download.php

Download RealBench https://rog.asus.com/rog-pro/realbench-v2-leaderboard/

Run HWiNfo in the background ( select Sensors only ) and stress test with RealBench.

You'll be able to see what sort of voltage is being applied to the CPU ( Auto voltage on the motherboard might be pushing too much , hence the high temps when encoding )

Going from your current cooler to a 360 wouldn't be worth the gains, if any, tbh - The Arctic is a solid cooler

The pipes look fine in your photo, aslong as there are no obvious kinks in the tube, then that is not an issue.

Ah damn i already ordered a silent loop 360 thinking it will be better. Should I cancel this order or is it still worth it? (performance, silence, be quiet quality?)

ok you are reassuring me i will test this out and tell you guys

How long should i stress it?

For games i played Titanfall 2 and got those temps, kinda same in witcher 3

I'm not in auto voltage but offset but i saw there are other settings to fix (value of offset, override etc)

silent loop is a lot more quieter ! Alphacool designed the Eisbaer unit to be quieter resulting in the silent loop unit- the cant sell that directly for CPUs so use the design in their GPU AIO
