EK 7970 Lightning waterblock - not enough washers??

Use all of them under every screw. I used the Lightning backplate, so used the longer screws. Start with doing the 4 core screws and do opposites. Don't over tighten them either.

The 680 LTG has a couple of holes which will not be filled...I guess this is the same with the 7970.

But what I'm saying is I dont have enough of the washers..

It says there should be 4 washers under each screw, 4 screws = 16 washers.

I only have 13 washers!?

Nooooooooooo 1 washer per screw :D lol 4 screws = 4 washers (1 each).

Use 1 washer under every screw bud.

Ok ty, I guess I have extra washers for if I dont have the backplate on.

So with backplate, no washers for any screws but the main GPU mount right (aka 4)?

it's poorly worded, but you need to use 1 washer under each screw - at the stage it says "use 4" it is talking about the 4 main GPU screws, so 4 in total, one under each screw (the pic also shows 1 under each screw, not 4 under each screw)

there's 13 screws in total so the others are there for if you don't want to use the LTG backplate

Aye ty, all done :) better idle temps thats for sure, 10-15C lower, yet to test full load but I imagine it'll do the same thing. Woop.

Also - in terms of overclocking what should I be looked at now?

I've just done a quick test @ 1252/1600 and it was stable, temps only reached 48c.

How do I do more? I'm using afterburner but the memory clock only goes up to 1600 and the core clock only goes up to 1300!

Switch to ln2 bios is the simple way, can probably expect in the region of 1300mhz.

Also regular lightning or a BE?

Regular Lightning :)

LN2 bios is Lightning BE?

Is there a guide to do this anywhere?

edit: See what you mean now, hmm ok ty!
