Ek backplate

Most of the holes will line up as they are made to line up with the holes on the card. The issue will be screw length, I had a watercool heatkiller backplate fitted to an EK block on my GTX670 and had to use different screws as the ones supplied with the backplate were the wrong length.

did you use shorter screw lengths.

The holes will line up as both bits use the holes on the reference 780. You would need to source screws that use the correct threads for the bitspower block and have the correct shaped head for the EK backplate.

i think they use m3 x 7 so shouldnt be a prob, maybe if its to much hassle il might get the ek block and just sand out the frost and polish it up, as its the only one i can find as the titan se full is hard to get unless lucky enough to see one for auction.:(

If they use the same screw you should be fine unless bitspower use very shallow screw holes compared to EK.

I have the EK 780 block with the clouded original CSQ design and I can vouch for how good it is but understand that some people don't like the look. However I am not sure whether you can "sand out the frost" as I think the effect is due to the material and not just a coating. Luc will be able to confirm.

I assume that this block won't do as it isn't full cover. (@mods: apologies for a store page but ek doesn't have individual product pages outside of the store)

The top is easily sandable.

A lot of people did it.

Since I don't know if I can link something from another forum, just google "lowfat polishing acrylic" and you will have a nice guide on the OCN forum in the first results.

yes did think of sanding, as it isnt hard, just dont like the circles, the clear plexi was the best block you did, well for me at least, but EK in general are very good.Im still waiting for my custom design to be done by justin at Parvum so ive a bit of time to look around.

TBH the circles aren't too deep so you if you were prepared to put in the time and elbow grease you might be able to sand them out.
