I was installing an ek drgb 360 liquid cooler onto the cpu and wanted to check the mounting pressure so I went to undo the thumb nuts however the top two won’t undo by hand so I just figured I over tightened them but I then used a screwdriver to try and unscrew them which resulted in being able to turn the nuts anti clockwise relatively easily but they weren’t coming up the thread of the mounting posts, this leads me to believe that either the mounting posts weren’t in tight enough originally and that they could be just spinning or there’s something more major that has happened.
I’m not home until Friday so can’t sort anything now but if anyone has any idea what is going on and how to rectify it then it would be much appreciated thank you.
