EK DDC or D5?

D5 without question.

I bought the swiftech mcp35x (a ddc with different top) and it lasted an hour in my loop. I bought it in addition to a D5 that was already in the case and it was so loud and incredibly annoying. I have 16 fans spinning anywhere from 600rpm to 1,00rpm and a D5 and that was the loudest thing in the case and then with it being PWM it was really annoying as it speeded up and slowed down. It was duly returned for a refund.

I can only go by my experience and there are loads of people out there who will swear by the ddc's but I was just swearing at it. :)

Thanks for the input guys.

I've ordered the rest of my stuff to complete my loop to do a test run to make sure I'm getting good temps. So if it runs okay, I will stick to the D5 pump in the front as I won't need an extra rad.

Just going to use some battery water for the test run instead of messing around with pre mixed coolant and additives.

didnt you try and fix the rpm in the bios or use speedfan.

This is how I am mounting the D5 if I stick with this combo..

I'm using the EK UNI Holder 50-70. This also gives me the option to mount it onto a anti-vibration pad between the feet and the case.
