So I just took delivery of the Ek predator 360 today. I have installed it but I am wondering about a few things.

So I am currently putting it through it paces on a i6700k@Stock. So on Realtemp it reports the idle at 25-28C which certainly is sounds like it working fine as intended. But once I fire up realbench and run an 1 hour stress test it hits roughly 90-95c on all cores within seconds. I have use the thermal grizzly and nothing has been overclocked. Yet when I see other members post they have much lower load temps and that even with a gfx card in the loop

Is this just me not having a good contact? I can always remount a few times to see if that works.

Or is this what other people are getting as I thought load temps were much lower because if that the operating temps for this unit then I seriously dissapointed.

One other ting which might sound really strange. There is a strange smell coming from the unit. As wacky as this sounds. But I am currently waiting for the case of choice to be released so this is very much all the components stuck together ghetto mode to test if working with no case. So the it is exhausting air towards me.

And it smells. Not like sewage smell bu there is certainly a strange odour coming off it. Is this normal as crazy as it sounds. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mine had the please remove stick as well. I removed that as soon as I took it out of the box. And as for the temps. I have no base comparison as I only just bought the 6700k setup and haven;t used any cooler on it besides this predator.

So at stock clocks. it idling 22/23 give or take and when i run real bench @50c then +/- 1/2

Hi copey. I have the evolv atx as well but i prefer to mount it in the top. THe predator is acutally ghettoed to a 6700k setup san case but I am hoping to get time to put it in the case only problem that where my other setups is and just trying to motivate myself to do it.
