hey guys, not sure if this is the right area or not, sorry if its not.

so my EK-Supremacy EVO - Gold started leaking today, no idea what caused it to go. booted it up and heard a large gulp of air get pushed through the pipes, when i investigated i found water dripping fron the cpu block so i pulled the power. theres a bit of residue on the gpu backplate and i dont know if it is ok.

the waterblock it self seems to have cracks in it around the fittings. its only 4 months old as it was installed in late January.

has anyone seen this before and what should i do about it?

ive sent a webnote to overclockers about it so ill probably get a reply on monday, and ive also sent one off to EKWB as well

how much residue would you say is on the backplate? I killed an 8800ultra like 5-6 years ago when my nonconductive liquid leaked onto it while i was out. The liquid drained through the mounting screws on the backplate and got in between the heatsink and the core causing it to overheat from what I could tell.

If yours didn't take much of a soaking it might be fine but something to consider, might need a good drying and cleaning out depending on what you're using before you give it a good run

cracks around the fittings is either caused by over tightening or pressure build up in the block when water isn't moving round properly and coolant starts boiling.

Deffo not a faulty block, as you can spot fractures in these clear plexi blocks miles away. You would have noticed it during an installation for sure.

was fine since it was installed, im using distilled water. and i dont think the coolant has been overheating, the pump pressure has been good with cpu temps at 43 ish under load, about 50 with prime95 for over 24 hours. not sure about the card, i just bulled of the back plate and the water made it to one of the connections but i dont think it made it far enough to short it out

got it sorted, so it was over tightening. just took some time for the cracks to form. thanks for the help guys
