Elden Ring Nightreign

Due out some time this year.... Elden Ring Nightreign. I feel it's probably worth it's own thread.

I was a bit dubious when I first heard about it, especially with Elden Ring being my favourite game of all time (so much so I'm currently having a huge Elden Ring back tattoo done), but the more I read about it the more I think it's going to be epic. Obviously I love all the Soulsborne stuff, but have also recently enjoyed roguelikes, especially Returnal and Hades.

Sign up for the network test begins TODAY. The test isn't until February though. PS5 and Xbox only at present.

Elden Ring NT signups were similar. Worth it in the end though.
They won't be doing this one on PS4 due to the Elden Ring one getting hacked for unlimited play on wonky PS4s lol happy days

well single player is with matchmaking by the sounds of things so you should be ok with 2 and getting matched with another

Not bothering with the network test, but if it can recapture some of that Elden Ring experience then I'll probably buy on PC.

I'm hoping that it will give that gameplay experience without all the "faff" of planning builds, levelling for specific weapons/spells, farming materials and so on. I love all of the above btw, but we have that already. I'm excited for a more action oriented version of Elden Ring, which is what this looks like.

I think there will be levelling and character customisation to a point, but the character types might be similar to Destiny's Warlock, Hunter & Titan in that they each have specific abilities you can choose from. I also think it will have a looter shooter type element like Destiny/Borderlands.

yeah it should but ping might be a problem... only one way to find out! .

In fact, I bet they would be interested to know your setup for info purposes.
