Elden Ring Nightreign

yeah it should but ping might be a problem... only one way to find out! :).

In fact, I bet they would be interested to know your setup for info purposes.
It's only temporary until the house move completes and I have proper broadband again, but I have noticed my PS5 say its NAT type 3 which I cannot change no matter what I've tried thus far. Hopefully won't be an issue...

30th May release date has dropped. Guess they must be quite confident of its quality and stability right now.

Pre order is live on psn - I have gone for the deluxe version as it includes future dlc. I would assume its up on steam & xbox too.

Absolutely tonnes of content now on YouTube from people who played the network test early - all the reviews I have watched so far have given loads of praise (I watched easy allies, orroboro, doms roundtable hold and fextralife).

TLDR: Neightreign is basically endgame content for Elden Ring. Even though Namco wants you to buy it like it's a new game, it's not a new game, it's just end game dlc for Elden ring.

And because it's end game, it's significantly harder than Elden ring - Neightreign is not friendly to new players, the game just assumes you've finished Elden ring and you are a good player and you know all the mechanics of Elden ring

I watched this video I do agree with the end-game content comment, but in order for new players to give it a go its the cheapest option to introduce them to it, so at the same time I also get why its standalone. Could have been cheaper though....
I didn't hear anything in the video about the game being harder than Elden Ring as such, and I don't really feel it can be properly compared. I guess we'll soon see :D
Going to try and get on for an hour tomorrow morning before I have to go hospital.

Might see you there :). on psn... hopefully not the hospital. Hope it goes OK though x

Not interested in multiplayer. If the single player experience is not a poorly balanced train crash then I'm in.

If not then I'm out.

Does look good though. So maybe my FOMO will get the better of me! :p

Then you're out, because feedback from the test is that the game is tuned for groups of 3 players and the difficulty does not adjust for fewer players.

Meaning the game is absolutely more difficult to play solo and while the basic trash enemies don't pose too much of a problem, try to solo the end of day main bosses seems to be a major problem, near impossible apparently

My code isn't working, ps5 says code is not for my region
There are reports of Bandai Namco sending xbox codes to ps5 users and vice versa. Try contacting them and they may be able to provide an updated code for the correct region and system.

I've tried that, it's been over 24 hrs and no reply from Bandai namco's support yet

Ah well. I guess I'll sit this one out then.

I'm just not interested in online coop.

Sat in roundtable hold trying to enter a game and struggling. Got to matchmaking 2 of 3 once, now just getting matchmaking failed. Not sure if it's the server, a lack of people on or my current connection. As I have no choice but to use mobile broadband at the moment I can't change the NAT type from 3.

Edit: Suspect it's mostly server as i can't even log in now. Oh well suspected this would happen, I'll try again tonight.
