Elder scrolls IV

Every time I see an Oblivion thread I want to play it again! :D

I have an awesome new gaming rig and I swear I saw the disc on my shelf earlier.... hmmm.

Can anyone remember the mod that auto-levels quest rewards and such? I remember Oblivion stupidly let you get some stuff at like level 5 and it would have crappy stats by the time you get to higher levels.

I never even got Qarls texture pack 3 because the thing is too big to download :(.

I just want Qarls pack 3, Natural Environments, Beaming sunlight, illumination within and open cities. I'll try downloading Qarls again if I can.

Should I go with Redimized or normal QTP3?

My PC should handle the normal one, but it is still a lot of strain and any performance gain is welcome when modding this game.

Never mind, I'll just get the normal one.

What rig you running? Mines fairly decent (can run Crysis on a Very High\High combo throughout with 2xaa) however struggles with Oblivion at 1440x900, with QTP3, Open Better Cities (though have since downgraded from open, does naff all) and a few landscape mods (water, flora & fauna etc).

You'll have no problem :p.

Also, I would advise getting rid of illumination within and going with Open Cities or Open Better Cities. Even if it doesn't apply to the IC, it makes things so much better.

There's an illumination within version compatible with open cities.
Get both.

Not too sure if it's possible to use all 3 though: Better Cities, Open Cities and Illumination Within. (I have OC/IW working but BC crashes my Oblivion if I enabled the omod currently, would probably have to fix the load order or something but too lazy)

Or just get Better Open Cities . Illumination within isn't really vital, as most of the cities are well lit to begin with but its up to the player. No point combining two city mods though.

Man, with everybody posting all these awesome mods that weren't around (or I otherwise simply didn't know about) when I last played, now I'm wanting to re-install!

Hmmm.......

Even with FCOM its still abit of a rubbish rpg. But its certainly better than vanilla thats for sure.

I'd recommend getting Low poly grass anyone who has performance issue's it doubles my fps outdoors easily. I never have any problems with performance even with quarls, view distance, flora/fauna and weather mods.

Fps inside towns is usually more of an issue than outdoors, and especially when changing zones (old HDD), for me.

Outside I get rock solid smooth gameplay bit inside towns it can drop down to 40-50.

It's the only decent RPG around, so you are wrong.

Most are fail because they are 3rd person. 1st person is much more immersive

+1 for sure! No other rpg i've played (apart from maybe Fallout3) has come close to giving me the same satisfaction Obliv did.

Bring on Elder Scrolls 5 I say!
