I play with the other half and we have good fun with it. Base game is good, and the dlc's open up other parts of the map and skills you can use. We're not subscribers so we don't get the extras. But its still fun as a buy to play title.

Yeah. Explore also every single corner :) and do not use mods with map overlay cheating until you are desperate.
 
I've got 5 x heavy, 1 x med & 1 x light armour equipped but I can only see heavy under my skills. I thought you just had to have 1 piece of each to level it? I've been away from the game for a while so it might well have changed.

3 pieces to open the skill line , then you can level it with just one

Just chuck a couple of pieces of trash armour on to get the skill line - then remove

Thanks, figured it out in the end with a bit of searching/guild help. It must have changed cos I'm sure the last time I played it started leveling as soon as you put a single piece on. Bit of a faff but on the road to getting the passives, just need some skill points to spend.

There is a lot of content.

Basically
  • Main Game
  • Marrowind - Chapter
  • Summerset - Chapter
  • Elyswer - Chapter

You then get lots of little DLC - Orsinium, Imperial City, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild DLCs. These DLC's can be gotten as part of ESO+ Subscription while you have an active subscription unlike the chapters which need to be brought. So if you plan to use ESO+ then it may be more cheaper to buy the base game + all 3 chapters for £35 (https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/the-elder-scrolls-online-elsweyr-pc) or from Steam directly. Then buy ESO+ on a subscription service.

Or if you want to buy all the content from the onset without ESO +, buy the collection version (base game, Marrowind, Summerset and the DLCs) for £35 and buy the Elswer upgrade for £30 on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/306130/The_Elder_Scrolls_Online/

Pls keep an eye on the graphic card speed. If you see it working at far less speed than normal, you need to make a custom game profile and set the P7 state as the minimum state.
At least those of us with Vega have to do so. Is something that affects quite a few older games.
