Our kettle at work is pretty much dead now. It's been leaking ever since I started working there over a year ago and since yesterday the lid doesn't close so we sit a mug on top when boiling it. Doesn't have any filtration so collects limescale so heavily it really needs a daily tip out.

Thing is though, it's a 2 litre kettle and they don't seem to exist anymore in the electric range and under £25.

All I can find is 1.7L in the £15-25 range and at maximum there is 7 of us using about 350ml in our ThermoCafe mugs. If you did the maths you figured out we overfill the kettle too.

We really need a 2l kettle but I cannot find one, anyone got some idea's?

Spend more money? Surely your work should be paying and even so if you all chucked in £10 you could buy a Dualit one which will far outlast any cheap pos you buy.

Your use goes beyond a cheap kettle really.

Get work to buy a new one.

Happy, caffeinated, workers are more productive workers and will save the company money.

Buy 2 cheap plastic kettles dont buy metal ones they get all that crap on the heating element.

Got mine from asda a 2l plastic 5er jobbie and ive never had to descale once and i think ive had it about 7 years.
