Electric toothbrush recommendations

...As title really, not looking to spend more than about £50 and was wondering if there is much difference in this price range - I want my teeth to feel fresh from the dentist clean!

Was looking at this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4430573/Trail/searchtext>TOOTHBRUSH.htm mainly just cause it's allegedly half price.

Cheerithanks!

Where does it say half price? Is the price on that page the original or the offer price?

Looked at the prices of those Sonicare brushes. Wow, they're expensive.

Notice when the thread was made mate, Mar 9th! :D

I ordered a OralB 9500 DLX recently for £49.99.......Still waiting for it to be delivered!

I've had a Philips Sonicare in the past and now have an Oral B Sonic, they're both awesome. I was in boots the other day and they had a basic Oral B Sonic for about £12.50. This one here.;)

I have that toothbrush, and i must say i really like it. The timer is great aswell, leaves my mouth feeling dentish fresh
Surely that's the toothpaste doing that? :p

I have a Sonicare, think it was 75 pounds from boots down from a hundred. Feels like i've been to the dentist everytime I clean my teeth, worth ther extra twenty-five.
I broke mine that I got for Christmas ages ago. So I got a replacement. And broke that one as well. :D:confused::(

Edit. Hang on! I never had a Sonicare. That's a Phillip make yes? I had the Ultrasonex I think. Broke that twice. :D:cool:

philips sonicare, have use a wide range of toothbrushs (have a thing for clean teeth) and have found nothing to beat the sonicare tooth brushes

I did a lot of research before I bought mine as I knew nothing of the technology and the any of the products on the market.

The Which test results started me off and they seemed to conclude quite similar to lots of customer reviews from owners who have used both the sonic and circular style brushes.

The Sonic method is not considered by Dentists to offer any benefit over the motion brush which is the better method for me.

The Braun/Oral B Triumph professional care 9000 is what I concluded to be the best on the market and I love mine, I will never go back to a manual but may try the best sonic brush which is the Phillips Sonicare Elite e9500.

good god, someone asking opinions about a £50 bit of kit, what ever next!

Soon people will be asking what motherboard they should buy!

oh and you're post about the tooth brush is in the shirt thread,

Spec me a new set of eyes?

Nearly mate, more an NHS laser eye discussion :D

I can't think of any real benefit in using an electric toothbrush, although I did buy one of the vibrating ones simply because I knew that if I spent more on it I wouldn't wreck it so quickly.

That doesn't count though, that's a silly pathetic reason and only idiots like me would do it.

:(

I insisted on trying it at my mates house (was with him when I bought it and we went back to his), all his house mates gave me a weird look :p

:Edit: Didn't actually feel any better than a "Oh no you have to move your arm :(" toothbrush, however I'm not sure people really give a crap about the results - they just like to think they are better due to having expensive ****
