yeah, familiar with PAT, dead boring isn't it :p , I've only actually done it a while back as some work experience with a compnay of sparks while I was trying to get an apprenticeship (which I still haven't managed to get yet :( )

I also tend to hang around the wiring and regulations section on the IEE forums, a wealth of various things electrical get discussed there :)
 
yes its boring we had to do all our own PAT work took abou a week to do all the kit thats three shifts at it

keep look for that apprenticeship one will turn up . I did mine many moons ago in heavy power and electrical engineering with a year armuture and stator winding thrown in

I got qualified as a SAP with EM ,also 11kv live line working and u/g live jointing to 3 kv

AMIEE and a degree in EE
plus loads of other on the way

but dont work anymore give it up 8 years ago not bothered since
