Electrical noise through speakers when GPU under load (Not coil whine)

With external USB soundcards and Internal PCIe soundcards is there much difference in quality of audio nowadays? I may change the soundcard, it really has no reason to have this issue, it's only moving to the 3080 that has made it noticeable.

To be honest I went external years ago when I used to buy every new sound card. Then decided to try DAC +amp setup far better experience and quality.

You can go cheap or you can go very high end

Cheap somthing like a objective 2+dac or Asus do one too

Or you can go extreme high end like £4K plus

I've been through 3 dacs and 4 headphone amps
Because I love trying different sounds.

My favourite is the chord mojo.

I've powered high end headphones like sennheiser hd700s and hd800s as well as my dt1990s.
This thing even powered full desktop speakers with no issue. Only downside is power type and its portable form factor. The upside is its form factor and portable this thing can support up to 768khz at 32bit!

I leave mine plugged in 24/7

The problem isn’t poor shielding on the sound card, it is caused by differing ground potentials resulting in a ground loop. The loop acts as an antenna for EMI. You would need an isolation transformer between the devices to cure it if you retain a copper connection.

If you are as unlucky as I am, internal & external sound devices are affected by the issue. Any copper link between the system that amplifies sound and my pc results in noise. I’ve had this problem across 3 completely different systems. Pulling the earth pin from the mains plug solves it but is a massive safety issue. The only cure is galvanic isolation.

Anyone got a solution for this?

Me and a friend both started having an issue with an awful buzzing interference type noise coming through our headsets after getting 3080s, expecially under GPU load. We both have Asus DGX sound cards and 3080s from different AIBs but that's where the similarities end. Seems very odd that we've had this sound card for many years without issue and then both get the exact problem within 2-3weeks after getting a 3080.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreicated
