Electricians - How can I simulate pulse interference?

I need to test some satellite cable for it's shielding and wish to generate some pulse interference to see if the picture breaks up, how can I do this?

I think setting off a small nuclear device nearby should suffice

Plug-in a power tool like a drill into the same wall socket and rev the trigger.
