Electronic Roulette Machines

Are these machines "truly" random?

I was under the impression that a computer on its own is not random, and the online gambling sites use random number generators which detect particle decay or something.

So are these machines linked to a central machine to get a real random number?

but like I say I'm pretty good at it on the xbox/Microsoft games. You just have to know when to bet more and when to bet less and when to stop!

I'm not sure if you're joking.

Seriously, you cannot be "good" at Roulette. You can be good at blackjack as you can play the perfect strategy - but even then you won't beat the house edge. You can be exceptional at blackjack and stand a very small chance of making very small amounts of money by card counting in real casinos.

Unless you're playing on a video poker machine with a 100%+ return (and even this factors in the royal) then you are always going to lose.

Take it from someone who's made a lot of money from casinos - the best way is to find sites that tell you how to bag bonuses from casinos and bookies. The golden days are gone but at least YOU still have the edge.

Called Martin Gale betting wiki, generally a bad idea unless you have an infinite amount of money to play with and there are no limits on the table.

If you want to play online casinos try bonus bagging, that way you reduce your risks. Still not risk free though.

Just read that wiki now. Thing is I don't double my bets after wins or losses. Instead I generaly keep them constant though I will increase/decrease if I see fit. I can see how martin gale betting, doubling them after each loss would be very foolish and lead you to bankruptcy.

Has the OP never heard of the word random? It's quite worrying he has faith in his ability to beat the system and has no grasp on how roulette works.

Doubling your bet each time is far less risky

Does anyone know if there has ever been a cheat tactic developed for roulette?
I watched a program a few months back which revealed how cheaters(who obtained substantial wealth) managed to work out systems for the likes of Blackjack and Craps.

Well I could get very metaphysical here. Like is a thing random or do we label sequences as random because they follow a pattern that go beyond what our day-to-day level of awareness can percieve. Me I personaly don't believe in randomness I believe the universe and every action in it follows the path of cause and effect.

Lets take the metaphysical one step back into a certain reality.

The bank will label you as bankrupt and take all your assets if you go into a casino to play roulette after practising on your x-box.

op - i hope you dont go broke. if you think you have a system that has beaten roulette - i am here to break the bad news....

YOU DONT!!

are you playing for real money on your xbox? why not take your system to a real casino - take out £100 every day of the week and see what happens over 7 days.

you know, you MIGHT get LUCKY - you might however lose £100 a day very quickly.

I think the only way you could cheat an online casino would be to understand how their "random" number generator works.

I doubt very much you can cheat/win at an electronic game. You might be able to win in the shortrun if you double your bet every time you lose, but you only need a lose a handful of times to hit the max bet - very risky.

I've been told by a croupier that it is possible for them to influence what quarter the ball would land in (in a real casino). Anyone know how true that is?

I never said I had a 'system', I said that i'm quite good at it and gave some of the styles of play I use.

I'd imagine if the croupier has enough practice they could influence the result.

A while back a group of people used a camera phone to predict where the ball was going to land. The casino took them to court but lost as the phone didnt affect where the ball eventually landed!

some tech students back in the 70's 80's did a similar thing. they had computers in their shoes and sewn into their clothes. they made a lot of money i think.

Nope you still don't get it, whatever you do makes no difference to where the ball lands. It isn't possible to be good at roulette all you can say is you are lucky.
